Raven’s intelligence test (IQ test) – general information
Intelligence test, IQ test – a non-verbal testing procedure consisting of progressive matrices that mobilize a wide spectrum of cognitive functions, known as the Raven intelligence test. The test contains 5 series, each consisting of 12 geometric images. Each board contains one larger and one smaller image. A part of the larger image is missing, and the test subject must select the missing element from the smaller images shown. There is one correct solution for each task, and the tasks become progressively more difficult.
The tasks contain geometric symbols arranged in 3 columns and 3 rows, with the missing element in the last row of the last column. To solve the task (selecting the missing figure from the given images), the test subject must recognize how the symbols change horizontally and vertically and according to what system.
